Jennifer C asked:

We feed our daughter organic foods only as I have heard that babies are not able to handle the pesticides which are found in normal fruits/veggies. However, how long should she only eat organic and when is it safe to try nonorganic.
She is now 9 months old.

are organic chicken and bison processed differently than regular chicken and beef?

undone asked:

i am very concerned about hormones and antibiotics injected into the meats i serve my family, therefore we are trying to eat a mostly organic diet. i’m also concerned about contaminants found in processing plants. it seems that organic foods would be processed on a smaller scale, thereby reducing the risk of contamination. does anyone know if this is true or am i just being hopeful???

Why do organic foods cost more than those without preservatives?

I just needed a roll of quarters to do laundry, so I went next door to Hastings and bought an organic almond granola bar so they could give me change. That thing cost me $2.72. For a granola bar!

Why do organic foods cost more than those made with preservatives? Aren’t we getting less for more money?
edit* I meant ‘WITH’ preservatives
